Take their airport express, or airport bus.
We took bus A21 to Jordan MTR (45min) . Only thing is u have to pull the luggage onto the bus.
HK public transport is even better than Singapore's standard. (frequency, connectivity, and reliability)
We can live without cabs for most of our itinerary. -
agree… we did not take cab at all when in HK with kids…just plan earlier …but their MTR is not that stroller friendly compared to Spore… our escalator like wider…

Depends on how many people. We were 5 and taxi was not much more ex then MTR. In fact, i think cheaper to take taxi from airport to hotel then take airport express and transfer to taxi or bus. Too troublesome. We have too many bags :rotflmao: Taxi is convenient and save the energy of the little one for the actual touring. My DD was too big for stroller then and DH and I no strength to carry her already. Save time too. So little time, so much things I want to do :boogie:
But then to each it's own

wif stroller then better be taxi…no peak hrs, no erp, cbd, extras extras…cheaper than in sg.
their trains have much better frequency than ours…although also jam packed. i went 2wks ago with stroller…met peak hours…difficult to manuever even though folded up the stroller in the cabin. the main gripe i have about their mtr is the availablilty of lifts and escalators. within the paid zone is ok…once you are out of the gantry, going up to surface is difficult as its laden with stairs all the way. rarely have lifts or escalators to surface.
airport express train from airport is really convenient. come out of arrival and go opposite all the way is the station for the train. no need to buy tickets and q first. just use and pay later at the arrival stop.
i dropped at kowloon and take the K5 shuttle bus to cityview. 1 stop. but gog back to airport on the shuttle bus is about 3 stops. -
cityview is ok…at least the walls separating the rooms are not partitions or light walls. quite solid. low ceiling, weird lift lobby, more for no frills sleeping and bathing. their superior room is really really meant for at most 2 adults and 1 kid. add 1 more kid will be kinda squeezy. add extra bed is squeezy too.
their premier can be for 3 adults and 2 kids…but i cant rem their limit for all rooms is 2 adults or 3 adults. should be 3 since they allow extra bed. i booked 2 superior and got 1 upgraded to premier.
no frills hotel to me. their pool and gym and sauna are at ymca side. they are joined together as 1 building. service is rather good. -
I hv been searching for accommodation for 2A2C :hugs: :hugs: but most of the rooms in HK is really small. : (
Which hotel is recommended for family of 4 & clean?
Thank you. -
french fries:
Depends on your budget. JW Marriott has 2 double beds so definitely can fit 4. I took connecting rooms at Crown Plaza Causeway Bay because we are 5. I wanted to stay HK side, so only research the hotels of HK side. I understand Kowloon side can try the family room at Langham at Mongkok. My friend stayed there and said it is good.I hv been searching for accommodation for 2A2C :hugs: :hugs: but most of the rooms in HK is really small. : (
