There are some days where I enjoy working. Friday evenings are great… it’s the end of the week, things are winding down and although I have to come to the office on some Saturdays, there are not so many things to be done. Not to mention that on Fridays, somebody would be there…ah, it’s really a refreshing sight, a rose among the leaves. It feels like seeing our favourite movie star or korean idol in the meetings…
Men operate by sight and I am no exception, so. On some days, it would be a work sleeveless black dress. she would sometimes wear:
1) denim jacket under tube top under a fitted pencil skirt with high heels
2) dangly earrings with a maroon sleeveless top
3) shirt styled dressed with belts
4) shift dresses
5) oh, very nice heels. the heels. They are not so high but they are amazing. I would check out her shape from behind. Somehow heels just make behinds look perkier. Heels are made for men’s enjoyment.
Well you all may judge me but I work hard with males every other day of the week and the only other lady is an ‘auntie’ sort who is our admin clerk so I naturally I would be looking, ok?
Yesterday we were having lunch in a group, but some of the guys went off earlier to smoke and our remaining colleague went off to get an extra kopi… we were in the food court alone at the table, so I complimented her. The other guys would not have understood anyway…
"hey, nice dangly earrings. I quite like the style on them!"
"oh thank you. I didn’t know you noticed these sort of things…"
"oh, I notice little things here and there…"
Suddenly she turned and looked at my side of the head and started to smile
"Dave… your temples are graying!"
"oh, really? that’s early… not good!"
"don’t colour it, though…your industry does respect older men"…
And colleague came back.
However, in that momen when she smiled, I remembered it rather vividly. I have a clear snapshot of it in my mind. I caught a whiff of her perfume that moment… it was like time seemed to slow down…
Somehow she reminded me of my wife, so long ago when we were dating… when she did the same smile. I remember that too. It was…
"Dave, you have a white hair!"
"oh, really? it’s not good!"
"here, let me pluck it out for you…"
I enjoyed that moment very much. Just a little moment to brighten my day.

In any case, this show went roundabout and never ended as it did not know where it was heading. In the end, it was terminated without completion. haha...not to scare you as you are doing fine.
Actually your story reminds of some past encounters which I never put much thought to them....now that you mention.....hmmm.. The other thing is we always think the girls are die-hard romantics but actually we are very wrong, I realise that men love the courtship feeling a lot. In fact I have someone telling me before that he wish he can forever be in the courtship stage. There you go...

last week was a particular hectic week at the office. I have been only coming home to sleep. I haven’t seen my wife in a week, practically, but there are few smses from her. She must be busy with the kids. My dad called me up to ask how I have been in terms of marriage and work. I said I was fine. But seriously, how do you define ‘fine’?
I am an overworked, undersexed sorry figure of a man.
Speaking of work, I’ve given 10 years to the company. The boss’ son has just returned from his overseas studies. He has been understudying various departments. I think I’m smart enough to know where he is going.
I am definitely having an early mid life crisis.
oh well. one bright point. Viewing of sports car. It’s a Mazda Mx 5. Very nice, soft top, good for site visits. I can even send the wife to work in this.
I think it should be all right since I can pay in cash and it’s from my own funds anyway…

I wish the MBA courses add in a component to remind its students of the added value of keeping their marriage intact on top of gaining an MBA…Married But Available to more career options not Married But Available to temptation options. It is certainly a loss to have a paper gain but an actual loss in marriage, whether it is for man or woman.
Btw, in MBA courses there are also many temptations happening. Some unmarried damsels can pretend to be weak in some subjects and latched on the married man to help in homework or vice versa… So, only your inner strength can help you…nothing else can. -

Anyway, if he did stray, his straying just reinforced wife's mother teaching that men cannot be trusted. From her perspective, she is the hardworking & contributing wife yet no appreciation from her ungrateful husband.
Therefore....I think this story will end with the wife finding out about his ema, him asking for forgiveness, wife serve him divorce paper anyway and obtained sole custody of children. Who needs who more :evil: -

To be fair, this Dave guy did put in effort in his marriage leh. Just that when a couple is together for too long there is no more romance & they will not try to impress & express their loves like during courting. I do not think it's entirely the man's fault in this case. Yes he should resist & cut out all temptation but he is just human. Like woman, man also needs his partner/spouse to praise him & shower him with love. Isn't that what we all want & need in order to face challenges ahead of us?Is he going to stray? I'm speculating how the story would end. Based on the characteristics portrayed by writer, I believe this will be what the wife character would think and do.
