6 months to 1.5 years of exclusively dating each other is the best time to get married. When the fire is still burning ..

Haha. No wonder I was tempted a few times. Later am going over to scold 'valvestate' & see if can wake him up.

      Pot scolding kettle. :lightrod: :rotflmao:

Come on, don't just tell half the story le

So, am I hearing a school of thought that once one is married, one does not need to work to keep the spouse happy or keep the spark of romance alive?

I made that mistake once (neglect DH) & I think we nearly got into trouble (or maybe I was over sensitive/suspicious) so I'm more for the same sch as 3Boys'. 😉

I think this should apply both ways. I'm mostly the one being neglected le

However, I've no doubt dh is still reasonably besotted with me la. Well, he got jealous when he saw me buying breakfast (completely innocent!) together with a younger man yo 😆

              BeContended,
come on elaborate that part le. What happen?

Certainly it needs to be a 2-way street.

yes whatever the reason for a failed relationship, its a 2 way thing. fault never ever lies only on 1 side.

Just yesterday DD told me when we were on the way home she was glad we still have a complete family unit. Most of her classmates parents are either divorced, in the process having cold war and arguing constantly. Her ex school principal during a casual conversation also told us that divorced families are most likely 40% of the school population…
