my phylosophy is for the 1st 3 choices to put +2 to +5 of the min cutoff of the school and the last 3 choices to put the fit cutoff schools.[/quote]Better be careful. 2nd and 3rd choice you have to put it at your range. The res you can put +2 to+5

are your friends DSA cases? or they already successful in their appeal?

even with dsa, after going in, he shd b able to catch up with the work. else if he cannot make it to the school standard, ie. if they are bottom few, they may be asked to transfer to other schools. that is demoralise the kid. do not choose a school that has cutoff too far from his own..

Dear 33mama, I really need some advice here. My son scores 204 and there are a few schools in my mind in the west area but it seems like his score is neither here nor there Base on his score, i have narrowed down my search with the following schools in mind. Can you advise which is a better choice?


Boon Lay, Bukit View, Hillgrove, Hong Kah, Jurong West, Juying, New Town, Shuqun, Westwood.

By the way, is JurongVille good?
