Lilo:
But my DS asked his Math teacher who said don't need sticker. Seems that different school has different practice. Is there any reason why the 2 calculators must be same model? Thought so long it is one of those specified on the SEAB list, then it should be ok...?
I suppose the invigilator will see that the tagged one is so call \"approved\" hence the similar identical one which is not tagged should be admissable to exam room? Just my guess -
Lilo:
DD's school has been using transparent/zip lock bag since P3 exams (SA exams). The whole purpose is so that the invigilator is able to see that there are only stationery inside the zip lock bag pencil case/bag - prevent kids from cheating (作弊).SHAmum:
Zip lock bag is fine. If cannot find, use those transparent plastic bag which we get from NTUC fruits section. The main thing, the bag which store the stationery has to be transparent/see through.
my ds school did not mention about bag. Is it must? requirement from MOE?
ds school give only one sticker for calculator, can't ask for additional sticker for spare calculator  ... I told ds to just bring it, if can't bring to exam hall, then put it in his bag, if need he can take it out.
DD's school only tag 1 calculator & 1 chinese e-dictionary. Teacher said can bring in 2 calculators as long as same modal and one of them is tagged.
Thanks -

I read from MOE website, approved calculator is ok, no need to be same model. But I bought same model for ds for easy use.Is there any reason why the 2 calculators must be same model? Thought so long it is one of those specified on the SEAB list, then it should be ok...?

After checking with DS, his teacher said that as long as there are no scribbled words on pencil cases or pieces of paper or papers with written words, it’s fine using back their own pencil cases. This is to prevent cheating during exams.
I guess encouraging pupils to use see-through receptacles for stationery is to facilitate in checking procedures by invigilators during the exams.
During LC two weeks ago, my DS’s class was instructed to bring in only pencil and erasers whereas other classes were allowed to bring their whole pencil cases along. -
The ziplock bag may not be thick enough to make sure his 2B pencils remain sharp.
My son isn’t feeling well. Have checked with his teacher regarding 2moro’s briefing. The T will attach the name tag and index code for him so that he can rest at home.
