My given name by parents is just 5 letters. But then, majority of my relatives doesn’t even know my real name. Often when calling me, they cut my name short to become 3 letters. But best of all there’s this group of relatives that calls me EN.

Mine? Well... we already have a Chief Technology Officer, but there was an opening for the Chief Kiasu Officer... the rest was history. Not very creative hor?

        Eh Chief,

But your avatar is (creative) what .... 😉

What's the story behind it, pink sunglasses and the swaying/ foot tapping action .... pray tell ....

            Eagle-Ladybird
            last edited by

Eagle is the nick for my son, and Ladybird, for my daughter. We don’t really use these nicks on the children, and so they don’t know them.

It started off in the early days when my son was still an infant, sitting in the carseat at the back. When we drive, he will fall asleep so often, that me and wife developed this "talking in codes" : "eagle’s staring in space"; "eagle’s flying low"; and finally "eagle’s down, eagle’s down" when he actually dosed off.

And when our lovely girl came along, the same "codes" were used in the car ride, and she’s the Ladybird, as she somehow develop a liking for this ladybird stuff toy.

Today, we hardly use such "codes" as they hardly fall asleep in car ride . . . not even our long drive from Cameron to Singapore
