Just sent helper back home ytd afternoon..
Glad that DH was wrking late shift so he did the cooking of dinner, washing & hanging of clothes..
But sianz tat it rained tis morning.. so no sun for my clothes.. n i have got no place for a dryer.. sigh..
Janet.. I totally agree.. was on the verge to 'kill' her when i found 2 old hidden mobile phones and she apparently 'hit' my kids.. :frustrated: :stompfeet:

My last maid was a Filipino.
She worked for 8 months packing in an incense shop everyday...actually illegal. No need for her to cook as employer will packet lunch & dinner everyday. But she wanted a change, so she asked for a transfer to do housework and cook and i actually believed her :stupid: She refused to learn cooking!!! Half the time I don't know what she was saying. Then she put words in my mouth by saying I hate her.
I sent her off...she is a glutton but refused to cook and refused to learn. -

I find that generally Indonesian FDWs (after several mionths working in English speaking family) speak English better, and more clearly than the filipino ones. That's cos they learn fast. While the filipinos, thinking that they are sooo good in English do not show any improvement. (They probably think they speak better than us :rotflmao:)

currently my MIL's Indonesian english is much better than my Phlipino. I even questioned my Phlipino maid if she understand english -

Actually not all filippinos are good in english. Those from rural area can't really speak. So it's a misconception that all can speak good english.... -

But maid picked up Cantonese...once she gave herself away. I asked hubby something but nothing unpleasant. The maid answered on his behalf :faint: in English.

I observed that Indonesian maids are able to pick up language pretty fast. My last 2 maids were able to speak and understand mandarin by the time they leave us. I was wondering if it was because my kids were younger when they started work with us so they were learning together with them.
I wonder if the new maid will be able to pick up the language too. -
Whatever it is.. Am glad to do without one now.. Though busier now den when having a maid.. Happy tat m still able to manage without going insane..
