      Hi, cimmam,

If what you are teaching is about forming equation and moving these unknown variables from left to right, I think I already know. Then,I don't think I'll be joining your workshop. But really thanks for inviting and letting me know about this workshop.

      Thank you!

      Mychildren,
what cimman will cover is more than forming equation and moving unknown variables. šŸ™‚
my husband said the workshop is useful, but maybe a bit too advance for an average P4 kid to learn now, although it is good that he as a parent knows the standard of the math Qs that will be coming up and how these could be tackled using cimman's approach.
i think cimman is suggesting we as P4 parents introduce formation of equation and moving of unknown variables as a prelude to algebra. šŸ†’

Just kapo, that means your husband has attended the workshop before?

Yes, you can. As long as you know the concept well and you have time.

Yes, you can even up to p6. I will also seek help from the Maths teacher if I need clarification. I am pretty hands off most of the time hence this is more efficient and effective for me. Otherwise, there are a lot of reference books which are useful. I know many parents whose kids do not have Maths tuition and the kids are scoring above 90 and eventually A*.

my gal alwaz forget shes doing times n halfway she will add the numbers. eg 48x3, she wil do 8x3, but later 4+3 instead of 43. how to prevent tis?

                for eg 23
17, when doing second row multiplicatn she forget the numbers written as carry forward numbers belong to first row multiplicatn so she can add the same no twice

I used to teach my boys but find it impossible. I got angry quite easily with them, maybe because my expectations of them are very high so I expect them to understand fast but realized thats not the case. In the end, have to send to tuition centre, but glad that I did that, their understanding of things are much better now and they improved alot.
