Deos anyone know if any of the secondary schools will be holding open houses before the PSLE results are released? Thought it might helpful for us if we could bring our DCs down to have one more look at the school before deciding on the school....thanks

NJC is having open house on 13/10. Though the online dateline is just over, you may want to call Tel: +65 6664 2313 x 250 to check if they can still accommodate your slot. I just helped a friend to sign up 2 more pax.

Gosh, reading through all the posts give me the shudders as my DD will be facing this madness next year. I have been really thinking how to best motivate her to her best capability as she is very slow in her work and there will be a mountain pile of papers greeting her come January. If it is possible, really don't wish to go through this PSLE year, ever/again - never. :nailbite:

Not mine, so don't worry. Gosh, they are really fast to take out the banding. It's only been announced recently.

It boils down to one thing - whether MOE wants to get it done, or not.
If top brass wants to do something, it can implement with immediate effect.
If not, we can go on and on, and we will still be ignored or else tell everyone that all schools are good schools.

I think maybe its already in their plan.....but perhaps brought forward hence the slight haste. Perhaps, this is one of the easiest to implement....first baby step. At least something is done.
