Did I miss anything? What is this workshop about and when is it held? I would like to attend. I have not been picking my kids up at TAS recently, only my helper is there. Was there any letter given?

          Hi,

Anyone went for the parentโ€™s workshop held recently? I was unable to go as my kids fell sick. I would like to register for the year end one. Was wondering how the workshop was like?

Very good, instructor was very clear and I was rather confused by all the new requirements but now I have a much better understanding. Overwhelmed with the demands still but more certain of what I can do.

The instructor did mention they are still waiting for more infor like sample papers and the list of exposition types of qns might not be limited to what were stated on the handouts.

Agree with cel-tang and sahm tan. There is no precedents nor has MOE give sample papers to schools so there still remains question marks in the air.

however, the pointers given about lateral thinking, talking to our kids about topics and about the stuff we see were really good. I tried practicing on my kid but fever lasted only 1 day. Will have to keep it up (after his SA2).

Yes, the pointers were useful but a lot of work :faint: :rotflmao:

Wonder should I start subscribing to the newspaper ๐Ÿ˜‚

The new syllabus seems to require a lot more out of parents but like what the instructor mentioned, it is helping our kids get ready for their future and not just to do well for exams.

Am also going to subscribe to newspapers and maybe buy Newsweek?

                        Dear Mummies,

Seem like TAS is quite popular in Kiasu parent. I am planning to send my girl for english enrichment class. Me not sure whether to send her to TAS / LP / LW / TLL ๐Ÿ˜ž
Any mummies care to share after sending TAS, does your child benefit from it / result is better?
