      Mummies,

My son has been staying at home since 3rd Oct...I make him read newspapers, cut out articles and write diary every night.

Janet, you really let your DS stay at home since 3 Oct? That's cool! 🆒

Told my DS about it and he said that's what he wanted to do right from the start. Okay.... Monkey see monkey do.....hehe. We shall see how it goes after PSLE marking week whether to stay away from school or not. 🤷

My son revised at home after prelims...attended school for briefing the day before LC...unwell after that day for close to 2 weeks. Had to skip the briefing before the BIG day (Sep 27) bcos he was on MC...HOD said he'd better rest at home. I took down all the necessary notes from her.
      Really eventful year.

Made him help me clear up the 'tornado' in his room...messy for 9 months.

Told hubby we must collect results with him.

So how many parents here will take leave and accompany their dc to school to collect the results? Wondering if i should take leave too...

May I know what time we need to be at the school on the result release day (tentatively Nov 22). Will it be early morning or noon time?

Results will be released between 22 to 26 Nov.

my ds school have a whole list of Post PSLE Programme line up for all the P6s DAILY... Doesn't other school have these?

The sch does not have any activity for the kids. The teacher reads her own book in class while the rest of the kids chat and play with each other. So yesterday, the teacher booked the computer lab and let the kids surf net. I'm finding it a waste of time.

That is the problem of bringing forward the PSLE. It used to be mid Oct & now early Oct. Schools had to rush to complete the syllabus & kids now have nothing to do. The school should engage external vendors to conduct workshops such as public speaking, speech & drama or oil painting for the kids to keep them occupy meaningfully.

Does parent need to be there for the collection. I heard my friend saying that certain sch require the presence of parent else they will not release the result to the child. Is that true?

Result will be issued to the child directly.

Is that true?[/quote]i remembered during my DD time 2 yrs ago, P advised all parents to accompany their dc to sch for results collection. One of the reasons given was that parents to be with dc regardless of the outcome of the results, to be there for them, to comfort them, to hug them , moral support etc...

its good to have parents by their dc when they are collecting their results… this is irregardless of whether they score well or not…

in the same scenario like when u collect your medical report, its the fear you have prior to collecting that freaks u out… i wun want my dc to subject to that kind of fear at just P6… i acc my ds to collect his psle last yr… i didnt step into sch as i dun see many parents there and doesnt want him to feel pressurised of my presence but i told him to come out to me at the gate immediately… all was fine…
