make sense but quite unlikely for Cedar as the last two years they are at holding site, now just moved to their brand new campus. During the open house, saw some 260+ students make enquiries.
Cedar drops , there will be chance for Mid rangers to go thro' Appeal. 30 millions are spent on the facility. MOE will surely ask them to take more students as well. -
DadOfGirl:
From the open house, they can only take 360 students. Infact for last year, there were only 26 student in the sports class instead of normal qty of 40.finder:

The term \"Mid- Ranger\" is probably not appropriately applied to 240-255. Average T-Score is actually 200. 240 and above should falls well into the top 20% range.Parents of Mid-Ranger( 240-255) are just doing their best on current situation( Score of their child & available schools). If you could think so far ( Value add for 'O' level results) , then propspective parent might as well take it as far as P1 registration & move near schoold like MGS or SCGS. Life is secured in good school till O levles.
Appreciate plight of parents with DD/DS from non-affliated schools ! -

Woww - u just made a loootttt of mums and dads happy :).Good news for everybody :celebrate:
This year the COP will be lower than last two years except for the top 4 schools. Here is how I came out with this forecast;
Comparing the number of students that go to Express from year 2006 to 2009 and the COP of a few of schools.
Looking at the number of student going to Express as followed;
2009 - 29730
2008 - 30797
2007 - 30902
2006 - 31451
For example using Cedar Girl;
year 2006 - COP of 248
year 2007 - COP of 244 (reduction of 500 students)
year 2008 - COP of 244 (reduction of 100 students)
year 2009 - estimated COP of 242 ( reduction of 1000 students)
likewise for Anglican and TKGS
:celebrate:
How would u think it will affect some mid-range schools like NJC, ACS(I) (sorry donno girls schools as mine is a boy). Would it affect the 240+ COP schools more than the 250+ COP schools?? -

Any idea about top 1% range, starting from 260+ or 270+...? Just curious.

This year cohort has a total of 48541 students. There are 6 schools taking student with T-Score of 260 and above (give and take 1-2 points). So we have a total of 400 X 6 = 2400 students, which is about 5%. So 260 and above should be considered top 5%. Top 1% refer to the top 500 students. Rare...

Hi Ooptimizer,
This is even better news. I know SOTA takes in students base on other talent, rather than result. But some good one will go to dilute the congestion.
Please let me know what school is \"SST\"?
