Reasons to ask your maid to leave

Can anyone share with me how to close the bank a/c and ask her to leave on the same day ?

Will she run away while bringing her to the bank ?
So headache !

I like to use OCBC for maid's bank account because they are open on Sunday so she can close her account and go to the airport straight.

I had the unfortunate experience of having 2 mentally unsound maids. One was a transfer maid, here for almost a year while the other one was sent back to the agent after 2 days. It was not a matter of too much work cos she refused a transfer and the agent subsequently sent her back, after she signed some documents.

I intend to send her back in Dec, 2 months earlier than contract. My house has never been so messy before she worked with us, i can find lego pieces all over the places, toys and my kids bedroom are so messy. She will not do the housework before we woke up. She only start to pack the house after 8am eventhough she woke up at 6.30am. Even if my kids are not sleeping in their room, she will still wait till after 8am to start work. Very frustrating i wonder why i can tolerate her for more than a year.

Mine too. My mum says my maid will just sit and drinks her coffee and have her sweet times eating breakfast . Once my hubby was on mc , came bk at 10am after seeing dr but room was not cleaned . Had to sleep on the sofa .

Concern mum better get one soon , next year they will request every weekend off and got to pay their loan too .

I will try another , if still give me headaches I will employ robot!

hi Panickymum, worst still he slept on my DS bed when we were off to work. My husband caught her sleeping when he went back to pick up something after sending me to work.


I am very tired of having maid, may try going without maid for a while.

So far, my maids had a sense of decency and know when they had been substandard so will not make any fuss.

If you need to change maid, better select fast. Supply seem scarce nowadays. Indo biodata limited so am switching to Myanmar and been waiting for them to get their passport since June. The maid I wanted still cannot come and I have to take a temp one first cos school holiday is coming. Will transfer her out when the correct maid comes.

Good luck. Do follow-up closely with agent if she is Myanmar and without passport. Been waiting for passport issuance since June and agent asked me to change my choice when the timeline comes. Happens to me twice already and with different agents.

Thanks coolskidsrock2 . Mine is a 30+ philipino . Married with kids . Hope she is really here to earn $ and not play play . I told my hubby , if can’t make it , I will not take any more maids .

In my case, i install CCTVs at certain locations so as to cover her movements at home. I can view via my iphone and ipad anytime when I am available outside at work. really helps a lot.
