Hello all,
need advice on whether should I continue my girl with Yamaha JMC or switch her to 1-1.
She is telling me lately that she don't like to play piano cozs very hard. But she likes to sings. So I not sure whether is the pace too fast for her in Yamaha. She had been with the class for 3 terms. She can play with both hands.
Can anyone advise me what I should do?
What's her reason for wanting to give up? Did she practiced but still can't catch up. 3 terms means middle of bk 2. The start of both hands coordination.... If children don't have a proper instrument and regular practise, it's hard to catch up and sustain interest.
The most trying period is in middle of bk 2 to middle of bk3. Once you get past this period, you child will be at a different level of skills. Endure........encourage........ Hang on..... -
Yamaha or Cristofori, it all depends on the teachers your child gets. Same goes for individual classes.
Kat78, your daughter may feel like giving up probably because the teaching style isnโt suited for her. Some children need to play songs that they like in order to like the instrument theyโre learning. -
Hi,
Any parents been through both? Is I easy to cross from Yamaha to cristofori? In Yamaha, they are teaching do-re-me instead of c-d-f.
Isst the same for cristofori?
The songs learn in cristofori, are they nursery songs that the children know?
Thanks. -
Dear Parents,
I am new here and need your help.
I enrolled my daughter (3 yrs) to YAMAHA music appreciation (SengKang) since Jan/2013. I realized she is not very active during the lessons. She ignores the teacher's instructions and only participates when teacher teaches new song or the songs she likes. I do now know how she progressed in the lessons as there is no feedback from the teacher and I know nothing about music
. There are around 10 children in the class and I do not think the teacher can monitor every child's progress either. I am thinking about putting her into Cristofori, any feedback about the center at Anchorvale Community Club @ Sengkang? Thanks very much.

Hi Happy Mom, do you sit in during the lessons? What is the age group of rest of the children? Is the teacher at Yamaha engaging the children? Your child may not be better off in Cristofori, unless you know reason for lack of interest in current lessons.Dear Parents,

How about My Inspiration Music School?

A source told me that you can take piano exams in this school too. Standards must be good. The lesson is $35 for 45 min.
