The new principal will start her term on 15 December 2012. She's the (current) principal of Pasir Ris Secondary School from what I've heard.

Yes, Mrs Ouyang is very approachable. She has a somewhat motherly feel to her and she definitely does listen to our feedback and actually work on any problems we raise up. She's a tad soft spoken but definitely firm in discipline. I really did like her as the principal.

My tuition centre is at Learning Habitat (Buangkok). The teachers there are really good, at least to me.
If she is lost, get her to approach her maths teacher. Tuition should not be the only resort. I do approach my maths teacher in sec one. Getting a strong foundation laid is extremely fundamental to understand sec two maths, and later on, A Maths.

Oh and I just had jc talks today and also earlier this year in may. Today, my school invited professionals to talk about their careers. Accountancy, medicine, psychology. Tomorrow there will be architecture, public relations, journalism, deejay, hospitality and tourism, social work, law and a career exhibition in the school hall. Career exhibitions are Open to students from all level every year but the jc and career talks are only available for sec 4s. We had hci, ri, aj, tj, acsi, acjc, nj, saj, nyj, sjc,mj,vj talks.

May I kn if next wk, Sec 1 having EOY exam for 5 days?
For Sec 1-2 Sci exam, how many papers are there or just 1 single paper?

Sec 1 EOY was 3-4 days this year I think. 4 if you took M/CSP.
In cedar, science is taught as general science, where chem, bio and physics are blended together.

Yes literature is a compulsory subject for sec 1 and 2. For my batch (and I think even now), animal farm is the current novella used. For me, the focus of each term was different. Term 1 was poetry, term 2 was prose and term 3 the set text (animal farm).
