Yes, I'm asking for additional resources to be allocated to the mainstreamers (those who are 'very gifted' but were not selected and also with no helps but themselves and textbook!)
Actually, if they are truly gifted, they can figure out those materials themselves eventually.. I personally have seen \"these\" type of students before... -

Hmmm... so we should have a sub-GEP category for said very-gifted-yet-suay-therefore-undiscovered gems who don't have much external support? How about those gifted kids who are not selected but lucky enough to have the support?

How come I dont seem to understand some of posts too. :? I think as a parent, it is impt to know tt to be in gep does not mean that yr child's future is 前途无量； not selected does not mean the child 前途无亮 too. It maybe a blessing in disguise. Just my own view.

I agree with you. I am not looking to GEP to solve a mainstream problem. I am just puzzled that HSK said that class size in mainstream does not contribute to mainstream teaching quality... but it is necessary for GEP teaching quality.

GEP clouds this mainstream issue... I dun really care whether it is good to get in blah blah... mainstream has a problem and we dun need the GEP to solve it. -

Glad u agree! I also donch understand why class size remains the same as during our era.
I also think we are trying to squeeze too much into our primary school kids so much so that the teachers can only teach with little interaction. It’s just too dry, like some boring sermon…it can no longer be this way…must go the charismatic way…everyone rah rah happy happy… -

I'm asking for a policy to cater for the majority population especially for those disadvantaged families.
