            hi all,

is it true that this school have a lot of fund-raising activites and requires parents participation?

The school is also not fully subsizded by the MOE?

some of my pinoy friends also told me that it is \"more expensive\" in CHIJ.. but really I do not know what to say..

              I searched via MOE..

ya that is what i know too…

but they are saying have many fund raising…

if school need to enhance something, will get parents to asist in fund- raising.

Fund-raising has been mostly voluntary over the last 4 years since my daughter started P1. We have never felt compelled to contribute a specific amount.

The school has been creative at times by selling tickets to shows where the girls performed. Of course as parents we didn't mind paying for the shows. Not only did we get to see our daughter perform, we also helped the school in their fund-raising efforts.

Agreed. In fact, I have not donated a single cent to the school since my girl studied there. Whereas my boys' sch, a neighbourhood sch was so aggressive in asking parents for donation and despite that they make the students do all the selling of tickets setting a target that they have to sell off a certain number of tickets else the parents have to pay for that amount which really put me off.
