sorry if I sound silly (I don't speak chinese but my DD1 has taken Mandarin as MT in school :roll: ), does chinese paper test the puntuation and editing in a similar way found in english papers?

Hi all, I need help. Based on what I have found: 吧：can be 。or !..Because it depends on the scenario 语境 and tone语气.


In this case, what is the answer?
（1）哥哥说：＂我们一起吃饭吧。＂
（2）哥哥说：＂我们一起吃饭吧！＂
If the tone is soft ( since brother talking to little sibling, then 。
If the tone is " hurry", then !
Question in this case got no clue, so what is the answer?

The word 把 is used for ! Not . Just for example like for ? is 吗 and 呢.

It can be (1) or (2). The tone interpretation is correct.

Problem is, how do we tell a P2 kid? :scratchhead: And if the sentence is not in context, it's even harder to decide. For simplicity, I will tell my kid to use \"!\".

On the 'dou hao\" vs \"dun hao\" problem, it has to be 'dou hao'.
'dun hao' is for listing of items. The two phrases are referring to two actions.

Hi, i suppose this is a P2 qn? i think my girl did these questions somewhere and her answer for Q18 is also 2. But she was also marked wrong and it should be 1 instead. As for Q17, the rightful answer should be 6.

看书 、写作业are phrases, so I prefer 2 to 1
