You ladies here makes me feel so envious, lar... My MIL comes over to my place 3 to 5 times a day, everyday. The current arrangement is already the best so far - weekdays, she comes over as and when but I am at work (hence, can die cannot fall sick else will have to deal with MIL at home!). Weekends, the moment she comes or calls, I ask my children to go wake papa... so she doesn't call/come over too early like she used to! Imagine she used to come at 7:30am and my husband wakes up at 10:30am!! :yikes: :yikes: So halfway she might get bored or gan-cheong, she will goto my room, sit on my bed or next to it, then chit chat with my half asleep husband! :siao: :siao:

Let's not even get started on MIL's daughter's tactics!!

My mil is the queen of liars. 100 words she say, i can only listen to 10 words. The rest of her words, I have to take it with a pinch of salt.

            Hi Mummies,

How come you all do visit your own parents often? My siblings's family and mine will visit them alternate week.

Hubby with in laws are fine with each other too.
when we used to own a car, we visit weekly.
now my mum is busy with my young nephew...weekend going out places with nephew and family or just resting at home, so my brother will schedule gatherings as frequent as all our schedules allow.

i will try to visit in laws weekly. the expression of my FIL when he sees the grandchildren is priceless.

i rather visit my ILs than them visit me because my house is in a mess compared to their well-kept house. 😓 sometimes after their visit to my house, i get fresh supply of groceries/snacks! lol.

Mine here is the QUEEN of drama.
When she says NO, it means YES. There was once she quarrelled with son and then crying buckets and wanting to die. She wanted that son to know but told everyone NOT to let him know.

                Janet_lee88,

Your mother in law very drama lei...

My in laws are diff. They will quarrel among themselves as they are not in good terms for so many years. Whenever something went wrong, my MIL will bring out the past and scold her husband.

At times, they even scold vulgarities when my kids are with them.

Sooner or later, my kids will learn from them. 😓
