Anyone knows the schedule for 2013 and the timing for school to start and dismiss? Couldn’t find info from my daughter’s file… suspect she has misplaced it… without knowing… 😛

Hello! I was a student in CCPS. I’m currently in cedar girls’ secondary.

The reason why there aren’t many replies in the thread is due to the fact that the enrollment size is small compared to other schools.
The entire school (P1-P6) has 600~700 students. Which means 100+ students per cohort, 5 classes.
Since the cohort size is small, I find the environment very family-like. I was a student in the top class but I knew and were close to students from the EM3 classes. I can confidently say I know 90% of the cohort.

The school place huge emphasis on courtesy. We were reminded time and again to greet our teachers. When I went to my secondary school, I was quite astonished in the first year that my peers didn’t have the basic courtesy to greet the teachers when they see them.

During my year, the top student had a PSLE score of 286 (if i remembered correctly). Most students in my cohort went to SAC. In my class, most students went to Dunman high.

What I cannot forget about the school is the teachers! Due to our small population, the teachers spend a lot of time monitoring the students. I got myself into a huge trouble and it affected my studies. My teachers were the ones who persuaded me and informed my parents about my situation. It was because of them I was able to get back onto the right track and managed to score 25x for PSLE.

CCPS used to have pastoral care but it has been removed. Apart from the daily hymns and prayers and masses on special occasions, the school doesn’t teach the students on Catholicism.

There is no better person than the student in CCPS to promote her own school. I sent my daughter there cos I couldn’t get her into the school I wanted. Totally devastated n CCPS doesn’t really appeal to me that well as I never heard much of the school. However, after 3 months I can actually see how much the teachers n school have put in effort to groom the students here.

I urge parents who registered their girls in CCPS due to similar situation like me. Kindly do not make early judgment on the school. Give the school a chance o show you how much care n love they can give your child. What are the transformation you girl will be.

                        Hi

I got to choose a school for my girl in this year & I’ve noticed that CCPS has been changed to single session. So, what is the school timing?

I am staying in bedok reservoir & in fact I’m quite worry about the school traffic conditions especially in the morning & evening. This school is located at Sims Ave, it is surrounded by office & factories. Is it always traffic jam early in the morning?

Will be appreciate if anyone can advise me about the above situation? Thanks!
