what’s the advantage of SBA to other ballet school? as i seem to read that many parents want to send their child to SBA ?

SBA is a good choice if you could get a place for your gal. They organised stage performance and prepared kids for RAD exams.

my DD will not be 4 yrs old in April so SBA can't take in her.. SBA told me to call again when she turn 4yrs to see still have availabe seat but i think chances very slim. So I have put in her name on waitlist for the next in-take but still no guarantee.

Now NAFA offer a seat for my DD and also TSOD, so don't know which to take. what do you think?

I think best is to go for trial and see which one your DD likes more. If both also like, then maybe consider location. I’m not sure how the NAFA ballet classes are, but I heard the teachers of the music classes are quite hard on the students.

Is ballet the path your gal would be heading? If so, I would still think stick to SBA. It is afterall, specialises in ballet. You could in the meantime, enrol her at community centre type of ballet just to give her a headstart. Choose those cc with RAD base-type as it is more strict with techniques and teacher who are strict too .... In that way, your gal will be very much ready for SBA training :xedfingers:

my ds2 takes ballet at Cheng Ballet School. so far so good, but not planning to go professional, just as enrichment, exercise and psycho-motor improvements.

DD2 (6 years) changes hers every 4 months by a size. when she was younger , it was 1/2 size every 3 months

my dd 4.5yo is interested in ballet. dilemma is

should she try out at CC and if interested then trsf her to SBA or just whack at SBA?

u noe how kids are when they are interested in something new.

Gosh! :yikes: Every few months? That must cost a bomb! I just changed my DD's shoes by half a size bigger. Am I hoping too much for them to last half a year at least then?
