what would be consider good result in terms of overall %? what did your kids get?
My DD only got 86%. We were rather disappointed. 😞

Mine worst,79.8%. somehow he got like this. continuous learning is very important.I think we are not enough hardworking. He got band2 for all subject for overall.Somewhere I can see band1 in his report book but not in overall column.I didn't tell anything. His rank also go down for 9 places.I think we have to focus for PSLE .Hope for the future.

There is no ranking or class average in our report book, so not able to make any comparison. Our only assessment of his overall performance will then be based on the papers that were returned and what are the mistakes he made. For math and english, could have done better, for science and chinese quite pleased as they helped to pull up the overall drop in english and math. Nett nett, one mark overall improvement compared to sa1 and last year. We were expecting a drop of 5-10 marks but concluded that this years papers were not any harder than last year. Instead, this year science was easier as maybe last years topic were tougher, eg diversity.

You are welcome! I don't think I am going down as I have already bought son's books. Only thing lacking are correction tapes. But I think my son will pester me to bring him as he likes to buy small novelty stuff. Lol.

Absolute wise, 86% should be an acceptable level. Maybe what you need to do is to compare to her school ? Diff school has diff benchmark. Try to take absolute figures with a pinch of salt... :celebrate:

We have only rec’d the subject banding form, yet to receive dd’s report book nor the booklist for next year.

Have decided to let dd try higher chinese as offered. Was told that come end of P5, school will re-assess how the students are coping and those who did not do well will be asked to drop higher chinese.
