Just my thought, may not be true. There are not many Methodist schools with boys :).. Think only 2.

not true...besides the ACS, there is also Fairfield and Geylang Methodist.

        Hi,

Sorry think I did not write properly. I meant only 2 Methodist schools with boys. From what I know, less than 4 boys from fairfield are keen in ACS.

Not true as in boys from Fairfield and geylang Methodist will not have better chance?

I hv asked the teachers at the booth and they told me the selection will be in this order:

          1. Based on choice ie. those who put 1st choice.
          2. If 1st choice are oversubscribed then give priority to those who previous Sch is a single-sex Sch.
          3. Then mission Sch
          4. Then distance

:faint: finished..if No 2 and 3 activated, then looks like my boy will end up with 2nd/3rd choice then... :gloomy:

Hi, if DS chooses CHS for GEP, he has to do HC in P4. If he does not do well in HC at P4, can he drop HC and do normal Chinese at P5 and P6 at CHS?

Pardon my igorance  what is the purpose of doing HC for PSLE?

Yes u can drop at P5. You do HCL if u want DS to have a better chance to get to a SAP school based on PSLE or if u wish to give DS a chance to finish MT at Sec 4/Yr 4 instead of doing it at A levels or Yr 6

There was no mention about not sending GEP children to tuition classes during the briefing or did I miss something?

what the ACPS P said was related to that (having tuition to get into GEP), did I recall correctly?

his reply to the parent who was worried about drop out rate and if kids struggle and can’t cope was that if the kid got in naturally, the kid will most likely be able to cope.

or did you mean sending kids already in the GEP programme from P4-6 to tuition?
