The sales lady told me there is 25% trade in next time if I purchase another SPI bag. To me, it's a good deal.

trade in only applies to non-discounted items. most of the time, the discounted items look more favourable than doing a trade in.

i did a trade in for my daughter's existing SPI bag...she was so crazy over the pink...thus, i am keeping my son's old bag when her existing one is too small.

trade-in offers are just a marketing gimmicks...

anyway, SPI is a chinese product and available on Alibaba.com... maybe all the kiasus we can band together and buy one container... $5 a bag. Walao... imagine the profit margins of kinderfun... Is this SPI bag really worth it?

Has anyone of you bought this new brand Totem?

          http://www.kid2youth.sg/products/category/Schoolbags_for_Kids_-_Totem
Apparently it's South African and it's not only ergonomic but orthopedic. It has a singular frame rod in the middle like Dr Kong, but with a welded base. The price is similar to Dr Kong, so cheaper than Impact and SPI, starting at $89 before discount. I saw it in Kid2youth Suntec city. They had only the simple classic design but i was told that the other nice designs will be in stock end of the month. So I'm holding for it and it comes with 2-year warranty.

Now, very confusing. Don’t know which brand to buy. One got warranty and the other one no warranty.

Is this reliable? Think the seller is from China.

Price ranges from 96 to 126 after discount. After discount comparable to Impact. If not it would be more exp. The sales lady told me there is 25% trade in next time if I purchase another SPI bag. To me, it's a good deal.

If buy 2 bags, got better offer?

I am surprised my son's SPI bag lasted for 4 years...and it was so heavy bcos of the books...he simply refused to pack it everyday, bringing everything. Anyway, I am keeping it so that I can do a trade-in for my daughter when hers is too small. Of late, I have been crazy over Deuter.

We love Deuter! My daughters have used theirs for years too!

Bought first for DD1 upon her friend's recommendation. After which we were pretty much sold on Deuter already and changed DD2's POP ergo to her new Smart (S) ergo. Three different sizes to fit the different sizes of children.

DD1's purchase was made at Causeway Point Kiddy Palace when they had 20% off storewide, so worth it! It was retailed at $109 then, before discount.
