I’m still keeping myself occupied by packing and throwing out stuff. Boy, sure have a lot of junk. I’ve been bringing out bags and bags of stuff on recycle day. My neighbours must think that I’m mad! Stress!!!

Now, my son is reminding me the number of days to Thursday.

Lots of ‘what ifs’…I told him there is absolutely nothing we can do…like it or not, Thursday is the MOMENT OF TRUTH.

I am not bothered by whether the top scorers go public or private. Come to think of it, it might be good not to reveal so parents won't try to get their kids into those schools with top scorers. In a way less stress for parents when they register their kids for P1. Furthermore, Schools wont be competiting with each other to get the publicity.

I am not in favour of publishing names of top students...this would prevent parents of would-be P1s to swarm to those schools. If HSK wants 'all schools are good schools' to be practised, then all the more top students and their schools should NOT be made known.

The other reason is to prevent tuition centers from advertising, claiming those top students attended their centers.

I would prefer to have more reports about disadvantage students who scored good grades despite having all odds against them.

And yes, agree that announcing the top students might give \"bragging\" rights to the tutition centre(s) that this/these student(s) attended thereby causing a bigger wave of tutition fever.

Btw good luck to all students/parents receiving the results on Thursday. It is always easy to say...what's done is done and no point worrying over the results but still hope you will stay cool be it that grades are within/outside expectations. Though result is important, the race has not ended. Every child has put it their best effort and the last thing they want to see is the disappointment in their parents face. So, parents hug your child for whatever the results. 😄

May God blessed everyone with a cheerful heart on Thursday. Cheers!

My boy’s principal will be calling the top 10% students in national to go up the stage to collect their results. According to him, there will be around 30 of them.

You mean the top 10% in your son's school?

I think reporters are at a loss...don't know which schools to go.

I know a particular centre list the names of their students who score 260 and above.
