All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

Dd occasionally says that she also wants to learn violin on top of piano. She has not been very insistent and she is not yet at the stage where we don't have to remind her to practise, so we are pretending not to hear. I hope we are not depriving her of her full potential by causing her to miss out on some critical stage of musical development by indirectly making her concentrate on piano.
What Grade is she at on the Piano?phankao:
So violin and/or cello can wait while dd tackles piano? :scratchhead:
You mean you intend to let your dd learn violin/cello? -

Why not send your child for a violin trial class, since schoolwork not too heavy? Your child may decide to focus on violin instead of piano.Grade 1 :rotflmao:

When is a suitable age to start sending kids for music lessons
Hi Pudding,
You ask this question in a kiasu forum... what answer do you expect other than \"as early as possible\"?
But honestly, to start music lessons, there is no suitable age to start. They can start anytime. Mine started on Kindermusik at 6 months once they were able to sit without support. -

Yah, just send for a Trial and see what you think. And what your daughter thinks. For all the teachers, I always ask for a trial. If not satisfied, book more than one trial with different teachers.

Otherwise 1 hour or more of practice per day each for piano and violin... :faint:

I see many taking two instruments there

Yeah. But DD is not quite that talented. Not to mention that she strongly feels that she has other better things to do... like watching cartoons.

Hi!
I am 13 years old, going to be 14 years old next year... I want to start learning music (It is quite sad that I am not even grade 1 at this age) and I wonder what music school is suitable for me to start learning at this age. By the way, can i learn the practical exam and theory exam through the not-so-common instruments like dizi, clarinet or flute? (I saw this music school called the Ossia Music School. Is the school fee expensive? I cant find the cost of the courses in the website...)
