Maybe there are a few with the same top score as we seem to be getting different accounts. I also not sure if my info is correct as this is what my colleague told me after she return from her DD school - Ai Tong

her brother studies there.

In my opinion, express better. Any reason why she wants to go XYZ Sch?

hi, mdrafiq777, only the Chinese SAP schools, such as Nanyang, Hwa Chong, River Valley consider the extra scores for HMT. Usually, the cut-off indicated by this schools have already included the scores for HMT, i.e, cut-off=aggregate score + HMT scores.

Hello! I got 266. So happy.

Maybe if MOE don’t announce the top scorers, then all primary schools can pretend that the top scorers came from their schools…In that way, nobody knows which is the truth and then…all schools will then become equal.

Hey-mummy-mum:
Just asking. My DD's friend scored 210+ and is eligible for express. But because she wants to go to XYZ Secondary school, which cut-off point is 230+, she wants to take Normal Acad instead. Do you think it is a wise choice?
Hi.
Maximum for NA stream allowed is 200 points.
Hope that helps

mdrafiq777:
For those who get merit/distinction in HMT will marks be added to the aggregate score? Is it only for Higher Chinese or for HCL,HTL and HML? Can anyone help answer these questions? please. Thanks. :?
Hello!
The top 30% of the PSLE cohort who pass Higher Chinese are given bonus points for admission to Special Assistance Plan (SAP) schools –
3 points for Distinction, 2 for Merit & 1 for Pass.
Hope this helps

Hi, I am new to this forum.
Currently, I have 2 sons.
My elder son, who is in Sec 2 (2012) is currently studying in SJI. He got a PSLE cutoff of 244 in 2010.
Today, I received my younger son’s PSLE results and to my pleasant surprise, he got 255. I am now facing a dilemma on whether I should enrol my younger son into SJI with my older son
or find a better school. I asked him for his opinion but he does not seem to have thought about the school he wants.
It is also notable that SJI fees are quite expensive as it is an indep school ($340 per month for Year 2013) and that they are moving to Bishan ITE as a holding site
while they upgrade their Malcolm Road campus in 2014. Thoughts?
