No. You have to wait for the posting to be out first before you can appeal. Without being posted, you won't know if you already have a place at the school of your choice, neither would the principal, so how can you appeal to the school without knowing where you are posted?

The SOP, as I understand, is:
1) put the school of your choice as the first option
2) wait for posting
3) report to the school you are posted to
4) appeal to the school of choice

You must put the school you want as the first choice. If not, no chance at all.
I fully agree with Rain. yes, you should certainly put your choice of school at the first choice. But for those who know that they have little chance to be posted by PSLE score, appeal is another revenue. It will certainly help to be ready.

I did appeal for my ds two years ago. Upon some friends' advises, we did almost as soon as we received PSLE score, it was not too earlier. In fact, we were told by school, had we waited after posting date, it would be too late. It maybe depends on schools though. All the best!
I'm still blur...so how do i file an appeal? where do i go to?
Go to school, get appeal form, get supporting documents ready, more and less like DSA process, except no GAP test, but will have interviews for sure. Good luck.!

Thanks for all who have encouraged me.

DS lighted up when I told him he had an option of 3rd language. Presuming that he would simply say no and faint, he did the opposite. Surprised me a little. He took the paper read it and thought for a brief moment. Then he asked, \"when must I decide on this? Can I wait till school re-opens? Will it do me any good in school?\". I was like oh-o in my heart. My reply was \"No you have to opt for it now. Anything you do well is always good, but anything you don't do well ends up a waste of time.\" So DS thought for a moment again...\"I think better not as there are twice as many subjects next year. Don't want to affect those.\" I was like phiew!!!

Anyway, DS asked me if he does well, can he transfer in Sec 1 or Sec 2 or Sec 3.... :siao: Gosh he must be quite unhappy with his current suitation.
That is spirit! I like it! Of course, he can transfer if he does well in Sec 1 or 2. \"What cannot kill you will make you stronger.\" DD's favorite song. not mine though. :imcool:

Your dd has a confirmed place in DHS and she accepted it? Then there's no way she can go another school. Strictly NO TRANSFERS for students who've accepted their DSA schools.

I feel like a smart Alec...telling you all about assessment books and yet don't know why son had such results. Maybe I should leave this forum. I don't know how to continue here.

Janet Dear! My heart goes out to you and your son. Cheer up although it is very hard. 💋 Your contribution in this forum is tremendous and you should not feel in this way. Again it is easy to say but in real.... No matter what, u must show yr support to yr son. Be strong

Hi everyone,

Yesterday was a bad dream...sorry to rant. My sincere apologies.

Moving on, I talked to son and hubby individually how and what we should next. :thankyou:
This should be the way Mummy Janet.

Did you receive CO of DHS? then no appeal allowed.
