See the above thread. There are similars discussions in other threads but can't remember where. I am a strong supporter for single sex school to avoid BGR distractions. I have personally surveyed among my relatives, colleagues and friends - most of their kids have BGR relationship by Sec 3 in mixed schools while almost none in single sex schools....

Yah...my friend whose gal was \"kwai kwai\" in primary school is now faced with BGR problem - now in Sec 2. Mom is distressed!
Another friend told me that her boy was \"pressured\" by classmates to get a GF eventhough boy was not interested!

But well, I’ve heard about it anyways.
But however, on the other hand, a girls sch, our daughters might become lesbians -.-
It all comes down to their own mindset, whether its strong enough

For primary school, I think co-ed is fine but secondary, it is best to go to single sex school.


As for gay/lesbians inclination, parents would have to spend more effort to coach the children in this area. Personally I think it would be easier for me to convince my child out of a lesbian relationship than a relationship with a boy during teens.

So far from my surveys among my friends' kids in single sex school, also have BGR. And the boys or girls are from other schools nearby or even far away. One friend, 2 girls in single sex school, 1 girl in mix, all the 3 have BGR. Another one, a boy in single sex top school, also has BGR from another single sex top school. Another 1 from girl's school, know a boy at bus stop.

At this age, first they are curious about BGR, secondly in this generation, they are very open and expressive. Not shy at all to approach or accept. In single sex school, the chances might be lower than mix. We parents, have to keep watch on them, look out for any bees around, explain to them its not the right time yet .... Its not easy but that's our part to do.
