Upon the release of the PSLE results, pupils eligible for the EESIS will be informed. No application is required for the scholarship. Eligible pupils will be offered the EESIS, provided that:

      * they have met the EESIS cut-off t-score (based on their PSLE t-score before any bonus points) and are admitted to an IS; OR
      * they are eligible P6 GEP pupils who have met the P6 GEP promotion criteria and are admitted to an IS and enrolled in the IP of that school at S1.

Upon the release of the school posting results in December, pupils can check whether they have been offered the EESIS via the S1 Internet System (S1-IS). Pupils eligible for the EESIS who are admitted to secondary schools under the Direct School Admission Exercise (DSA-Sec) will also be offered the scholarship if they are admitted to an appropriate school and / or programme based on their eligibility. Pupils who are susequently admitted to an IS after the S1 Posting Exercise and have met the eligibility criteria will also be awarded the EESIS.

        ks2011:
EESIS is offered to the top 3% of the cohort. It is reflected in your psle slip. It is only given to the Singaporean students within the top 3%. Even if you qualify, you can only use it in IS schools since the school fees in these schools are higher.

Care to share where did you get the info of eesis is offered to top 3% of the cohort? Tks!

dd normal meanstream with T-Score 263+3, PSLE Result doesn't reflect the status of EESIS.

From my understanding, the status of EESIS only will make known after
announcing the S1 posting result for students who admitted to an independant school.
Is your child a singapore citizen?

No. It shd be reflected in your PSLE results documents. Go check it carefully. It's just a paragraph stating your eligibility.

top 10% of psle cohort = 250 or higher and eligible for IP school

one thirdth of all students in IS school = 3%, approximately

Are you sure they already receive EESIS ?

                Are they DSA students ?
My daughter got 265 + 3 and didn't get form or anything for EESIS.

U do not get a form. It's just a paragraph in the S1 option form given to everyone.

Look at point 1a. EDUSAVE ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INDEPENDENT SCHOOLD (EESIS)

The first line under that header will state that your child is eligible for EESIS
                .

Parents with DCs scoring 262 and above, please see the text in bold if u think your DC was not \"awarded\" the EESIS. It's just a line to inform u.

Dont think 250 is top 10% this year. My son got 251, but I didn’t see the statement on the EESIS scholarship being printed on the S1 option form. Many students did very well, so the cut off point could be higher this year.

top 10% does not qualify for eesis

it is the top 1/3 of the independent school intake, which is roughly 262.

IS / IP schools cater to the top 10%, which is 250 and above

entering the IP / IS school does not automatically means qualify for eesis

so, for 251, you will not see the eligibility statement in the S1 form
