Does anyone here know how many students will RGS take in from the S1 posting?

S1 roughly 225 or 50% of 450. Same for RI, HCI and NYGH.

Anyone’s dd in RGS taking/have taken Special Malay programme? Since it is conducted in school, it may be easire for dd. Comments welcomed.

As for the uniform, anyone has bought for dd from Far East plaza already? How much $$$ does it cost?

My dd got in RGS through DSA. For 3rd language, is Chinese Special program taught in school?


Also can anyone tell me what is the advantage of taking a third language. Sorry I am very new to secondary school system.

My gal is at the low end of the score range based on their 2012 intake, so am wondering should i choose RGS for her.

Even tho her results have been pretty consistent, her score has still exceeded my expectation so im worried that she may not be able to cope with the work and will affect her confidence.

Grateful if anyone here can give me some advice. Thanks.

I got 261 and put RGS as my first choice. My mum and i hoping i get a spot there (which i honestly doubt). oh well. idk whether i even have a 50% chance...

Don't give up on yourself yet! I'd say even if you cannot through via s1 posting, appealing might work for you

Yes, CSP is taught in school.

Besides getting to learn a new language, if you do well in the subject you get to substitute one humanities GPA with your 3rd lang GPA! Eg, if let's say you did badly in history with a 2.0 GPA, but your 3rd lang was a 4.0, then even though in the report slip both GPAs will be reflected, your overall GPA will only take 3rd lang's into account.
