VALyap:
it is common, those living in West (jurong), East (tam pines, Pasir Ris), North East (Punggol or sengkang)โฆ pick up time around 6am, + or - 10mins the most. unless last pick up , if lucky, 6.20am!
I live in pasir ris, my pick up time is 6.20, but the last person gets up at 6.40...i reach school at around 7.05. -

Roughly around 400.Hi all
Does anyone here know how many students will RGS take in from the S1 posting?
My gal is at the low end of the score range based on their 2012 intake, so am wondering should i choose RGS for her.
Even tho her results have been pretty consistent, her score has still exceeded my expectation so im worried that she may not be able to cope with the work and will affect her confidence.
Grateful if anyone here can give me some advice. Thanks.
To be honest, there is always that period of uncertainty. i don't really think the t-score is a way to estimate how well you will survive in RGS. i know of high t-scorers who still feel stressed and demoralised all the time. Haha, even i still do sometimes, so i guess it's kind of unavoidable actually. In RGS, there is no more guarantee that you will do well all the time, grades usually go up and down a lot.
Ultimately, it's all up to your DD. PSLE is only a one time thing, it definitely doesn't determine how well she can cope. If she finds any problems though, she can always go to teachers for help!
and also seniors as well.
Don't have to worry so much! Based on my experience, many will be in the same boat as her too. -

Thanks, i guess you are right that ultimately it is down to my gal on how she handles and copes with the stress and competition etc.
