fifiyeo:
By the way, if DS is not able to report to school personally, can either parent report on his behalf?

      Thanks!
I guess should be alright as one of my friends will be overseas at that time. She was asked to inform the school (after knowing which school, of course) by telephone call or email.

OK just to check in case I've read the info wrongly since I've been so \"clouded\" lately.

Cut off date and time for school selection is 28 November 3PM. Correct??

Yes tomorrow by 3 pm All the best !

          Mama Mania:
My DS said,\"If I don't try, how do I know if I enjoy it or can do well in it?\" Oh well, we shall let him try..

Yes, by all means, let him try. Year 1 is still manageable. You may also like to check if third lang in his school counts towards his overall marks because if it is, he has to be serious about it as like all other subjects, you have to do online assignments and if you do not submit on time, no grades be given and there are tests in between and if these add to the overall Sec 1 marks, it does have an impact.

I am talking in terms of French as third lang and if he is just trying, I suggest you refrain from buying the Dictionary first otherwise it sure is a waste of $. An indication of their continued interest can be seen by Term 2.

Mama Mania: Appreciate your kind advice! ๐Ÿ˜„

He already submitted his language choices last night and managed to convince his best friend to do it with him.
Smart boy you have, able to get best friend to do it with him. This way the chances of success is better because he'll always have someone to lean to in that language. I sincerely hope he and his friend succeed and maybe you can share with KSP their success story then.

A friend texted me to find out about results.

            Friend: Satisfied?

            Me: NO!

            Friend: Hahaha

Friend: By the way whatโ€™s your sonโ€™s score may I ask?

I think this past week has been an eventful one for our 12-year-olds. They really went through a fair share of stress :nailbite: , anxiety :scared: and all the emotions ๐Ÿ˜“ :frustrated: :yikes: :rahrah: when they received the result slip. Poor things. Love our kids. :grphug:

This afternoon, when I reached home after work, I saw DS's two handwritten posters which he has just pasted on his room wall (didn't see them this morning).

                    One said:
\"True friendship isn't about being inseparable, it's about being separated and NOTHING changes.\"

                    The second one said:
\"I FAILED in some subjects in exam but my friend PASSED them all.
Now he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner.\"

Suddenly, it dawned on me that my cheeky playful DS has grown up a notch :snuggles:

Yes. What the children received last Thursday ia the result slip. a formal cert can be obtained from school in December.
