I think this past week has been an eventful one for our 12-year-olds. They really went through a fair share of stress :nailbite: , anxiety :scared: and all the emotions
:frustrated: :yikes: :rahrah: when they received the result slip. Poor things. Love our kids. :grphug:
This afternoon, when I reached home after work, I saw DS's two handwritten posters which he has just pasted on his room wall (didn't see them this morning).
One said:
\"True friendship isn't about being inseparable, it's about being separated and NOTHING changes.\"
The second one said:
\"I FAILED in some subjects in exam but my friend PASSED them all.
Now he is an engineer in Microsoft and I am the owner.\"
Suddenly, it dawned on me that my cheeky playful DS has grown up a notch :snuggles: -

PSLE Cert?
Yes. What the children received last Thursday ia the result slip. a formal cert can be obtained from school in December. -

This year has been truly traumatic & ‘memorable’.
I have never seen my son work so hard in all his 6 years of primary school before…although he didn’t produce stellar results, we still rewarded him for the effort put in…I was so afraid he would suffer a melt down before Sep 27…worse if he had brain block during the exam.
The worst is finally over…with the posting of the sec school result, we can close the chapter on PSLE for a while.
A reader mentioned in the ST forum today…we should celebrate the effort put in. I agree bcos it is the very first major exam of the child’s life. There are many more to come. -

Agreed. The effort put in counts. Our kids still have a long journey ahead of them. PSLE is only their first national exam & it is only part of their learning curve. Most O level top scorers are not PSLE top scorers. Our kids will grow up to be fine gentlemen & ladies in years to come. Cheers. This year has been truly traumatic & 'memorable'.

Don’t know about you fellows out there. I’m still pulling off my hair trying to arrange our 6 choices. It’s now down to which is 1st and last. Hiaz… I bet we all grew lots of white hair over this!

Same here, FIFi, panda eyes, tearing hair, more wrinkles over this, hope no ulcers pop out. Hahaha.. Just submitted not long ago, major headache.. Meanwhile, can continue to de clutter the study room to ease the headache..Don't want to see psle books and files.. Until 2 years later

Finally! It’s done. Now the wait. Hopefully not another death sentence.
