Getting Indon maid back direct without going agency
-
En-joy:
MOM is not the problem here at all. Employer can apply for a permit or renew existing permit without going through an agency.Peony:
Hope for a good outcome for you- please share as I may need to do the same. Helper went back for good recently. She wants to return next year. If only I knew... would have just renewed her work permit. Sigh...
thats a good option, is it feasible? Will MoM renew and then see the records from Immigration that she flew out for a few months?
The problem is whether she will be allowed to exit her country. -
Posting my reply which I just posted in anther similar thread. Can I suggest that the threads be merged?

Can’t comment on tourist passport holders but I presume this info applies to those holding the domestic worker passport. Indon workers (or just maids?) now need a red card called the KTKLN which can only be obtained in Indonesia, as of earlier this year. The card is needed if the maid returns for a home visit and then is coming back to Singapore again. While still in Indon, she needs to go to an authorized agent to apply for this KTKLN, which doesn’t cost much. You can get the list of agents from the Indon Embassy and send her the details of the one closest to her home.
Once she has the KTKLN, you can send her the e-ticket for her to fly to Singapore and make sure you have done all the MOM online application. You MUST also complete the security bond or buy the insurance for it and submit the details to MOM before your maid arrives in Singapore, or she will be denied entry and sent back to Indonesia on the next flight. The insurance company can submit the details for you to MOM. It is not good enough for you to have the physical security bond document in your hands. It is useless if the info is not in MOM’s system. MOM transmits the info to ICA which then allows or denies maid entry into Singapore. So do this a few days before she arrives. -
If the maid has KTLN card then no way will the customs in Indonesia believe that she is coming to spore as tourist. Once the card is made, the customs is able to track their workers easily. This may affect the maid leaving Indonesia if no Indonesia agent is involved.
We need employers who has recently gone thru direct hire to tell us more. -

I agree, that's my concern too. I have a direct new hire (my maid's SIL) but now headache too cos I used to do all documents myself but this SIL is 1st timer. I would need her to attend the safety course too.If the maid has KTLN card then no way will the customs in Indonesia believe that she is coming to spore as tourist. How about if we don't do the KTKLN card? 2 years cannot go back la?
I asked agent. Even for direct hire, agent collects at least $2400 from maid and $3000 from employer :siao:
When I got the maid myself and just for doing paperwork? :skeptical:
So maddening and frustrating -
maybe we shd start asking for the charges by agencies as backup plan. nation charges $2k eah from maid and employer
-
You may try calling this agency. I enquired abotu direct hire many mths back. They only charge the employer agency fee. For maid, they will charge 2 mths of her salary. The maid must have the KTLKN card & passsport ready or else we cant do direct hire.

 forgot to give the agency contact. I am not related to the agency. After seeing all the posts here on how much agencies are charging employers, just thought that their rate is reasonable then.
