Haha… LIKE all the compensation proposals.

MOE’s system must reboot fast enough, else would crashed.

If the kid has a mother who has PHD, is a SAHM, and can teach all subjects, then he/she will be homeschooled. Seriously, if I have reliable tutors who can coach all subjects, I will do that...then don't have to put up with so-so teachers, poor attitude ones...send child for ballet or any sport to socialize with others.

        Homeschool very bo-hua though.
Cos homeschoolers cannot participate in the general S1 posting exercise

Instead of so many factors here and there, can't we just have a General Baogaliao Factor? Much simpler to administer. The factor is a multiplier of 200/X where X is the unadjusted T score.

This has the added benefit of rendering redundant the debate on publishing names of top scorers.

                concern2:

                1. When resources are limited, perhaps, one cannot afford to give out the same things - it doesn't maximise the use of resources, hence only if one can meet certain criteria, one gets to enjoy those.

                2. ...many parents ...... believe that if the kids have the best teachers, the best books, the best this and that, there is no reason why they can't be the best. And the younger they start having the best of everything, the farther they will get ahead of their peers.
Thank you concern 2, you have put it so accurately. I particularly love the above points.

So best solution is to do away with GEP, DSA, IP program. No need to spend money on buying a hot property near a hot school teaching hot skill. No need to pay for GEP or GAT coach. No need to hire a coach (coaching top sec school team) to DSA. No need spend more money to stay home to escape the rat race. A kid will excel at psle based on self motivation. If not try again at o and a levels, and not stressing out trying to achieve 3 points with 6 subjects at o levels. But do this without losing sight of where exactly the competition is from please. Hopefully with the right changes can we proudly announce our top scorers again. 🦆

Are we allowed to spend money to hire tutors if not motivated?
