      ks2me:

I know of people who will bring toilet seat paper to lay on them before using.
This one, I can't help it. My rule is, no physical contact please!! First I clean the toilet seat and then I line it cos liquid can seep through, urghh!!

So actually, the person using the toilet after me is lucky cos I've cleaned it already :D!

I'm hoping the govt will consider implementing those auto plastic sheet seat-covers in Japan. Then public toilets will really be clean and usable.

thanx ks2me, shall start carrying my sanitiser with me when i'm out. btw, do you still wash hands with water after you use the sanitiser?

share this pic of a toilet we saw at the seoul airport. at the push of a button, the plastic lining the seat is replaced auto! how's that for clean n convenient..no more cleaning the seats.

PS: I dont go round taking pics of toilet bowls, but this is so amazing n i'm wondering when they'll have it here in SG.
Gasp, that's what I mean, Mathsparks! It's all over North Asia. Isn't it cool?

After going to the toilet, will still wash hands of course. Sanitiser is for instances where there is no soap to wash hands with, then after wash, I can use the sanitiser. Mostly we use it after touching lift buttons, after touching the escalator handrail, places where there are multiple unknown hands touching. sounds paranoid huh? Yeah but cannot take chances since the spread of H1N1 is so wide now. Incidentally, Money is the dirtiest thing we come in touch with daily so use less CASH....

I love such toilets too but I think it is too expensive to install these in SG. Even the used-to-be-very-sophisticated toilets in Paragon do not have this. I think maintaining the mechanism is also heavy maintenance cost. I am happy if they can put a dispenser for cleaning the toilet seats to do that manual cleaning. That makes alot of difference already.

Yeah Japanese and Korea have similar cultures but the difference is in Japan, the culture is throughout the country, Korea not so unianimous yet. The spread of H1N1 in Korea is very much faster to my surprise as well.

Haha...i use tissue paper to press the lift and open doors in public, then quickly throw it away. Try not to use so much sanitiser ...So glad I find someone that is similar in the \"hygiene\" department!
