Can anyone advise if RI students need to do alot of self printing for study notes and projects etc ? just weighing the pros and cos of buying a printer for my son who is going to RI next year. The con of buying a printer is if we dont use it often, the ink cartridges will dry up and waste $.

They do print quite a lot of stuff for various projects. But most of it is group work, that means one member needs to print. Sometimes, DS and his friends print in RI - there is a printing shop that charges 50 cents per color page and 5 cents per b/w page. For our case, DH sometimes helps to print from his office too.

Hi, may I know where can I get the PE attire from outside of the school?


And also is there any difference in the PE attire worn by the year 1-4 and the year 5-6? If there is what's the difference?

From what i know, PE attire only can be obtained from RI book shop. Only the sch uni can get from bibi & baba. Ds says there's no diff between year 1 to 4 and 5 -6.

3rd Lang can be used to replace history or geography EOY GPA if the 3rd lang's grade is better. V useful in my son's case in yr 1 n yr2.

But wasted cannot replace core subj like HMT.

It is certainly useful if the boys’ 3rd Lang do better than geo n history and gd in HCl if not it will be a burden to them .

DS will join RI next year. Would appreciate information on what we can expect on S1 reporting day in RI. Besides the buying of books and uniforms, will there be talks? How long will the whole process take approximately? Thanks in advance.
