      @Dreamgear Nope, no school bus services. Bishan MRT is one bus stop away though.

      Thanks llbros545

        May I know how much pocket money do you give to your sec kids every day? (exclude transport)

        Are the food in the canteen nice & pricing reasonable? How long it takes to walk from Bishan MRT to CHS?

          @mummy so kiasu,

          In lower secondary, my parents gave me $6 a day. Definitely enough to spend for two meals (recess break and lunch in school before CCAs). This was increased to $10 in Sec 4 since me and my friends eat at J8 more often πŸ˜„

          The food prices in the school canteen are generally reasonable. $1.50 for noodles and $2 for mixed sounds alright to me, at least. On this note, the western/international stall has quite a reputation for more expensive 'deluxe' food (chicken chop, beef, etc.). It sounds justified but in my friends' words, a rip-off. Worth checking out though.

          I reckon it takes me about 10 minutes to walk from school to Bishan MRT. Another option would be to take a bus from the bus stop opposite the school.

                    You will not be asked to do HCL if you do not qualify.

                      CHS is a government-aided school (not Independent), IP and O level track pay the same school fees as other government-aided schools. The principal clarified this point during the recent open house.

                        My boy is in the top 10% of the PSLE cohort. He can opt for higher Chinese & Cat 1-3, third language. However, he did not do HCL in primary school. We want to let him do HCL in Sec 1 next year but worry he is unable to cope with it.
