maybe he let ministers score point.
new ceo was missing during those critical days...and the ministers had to stand in for him...seems to me he doesn't know how to prioritize.HopeandSorrows:
i only believe half of what those PRC drivers say because usually when ppl want to act victim, they only say 50% truth...
but the new smrt CEO is lousy. why can't he cancel his overseas leave to fly home settle the issue?

:rotflmao:[/quote]JT and TCJ no need to score points...they are cleaning up the shit for him.
He wasn't even in the conference...ok, score points they did...after which he is going to get it.
Such a BIG issue and CEO was missing...take the first flight back lah! -

Same job.. same pay.. what is so difficult.bupashu:
One thing for sure - when u have different nationalities of drastic differences in background & culture doing the same job at the same place - you need very savvy HR people to communicate and balance the expectations in an internet linked world, you need to act fairly and to be seen to act fairly
As for the additional costs for the PRC, just deduct from the salaries.. everything hence is transparent and self explanatory.. why create an opportunity for troublemakers to cook up a storm..?

You are not one of the drivers and yet you are stunned by the news.....sleepy:
I wonder what's the deciding factor to choose those 29 to deport, out of 171 drivers?
I was stunned to read news...29 to be deported, 5th one charged. This sends a strong statement. Try and be funny...this is the consequence.
Singapore is governed by law. It is sad these Chinese drivers went on strike over salary issue and caused inconvenience to commuters. Could they have used a more professional step?
Now I really hope China embassy understands the stand taken and agree to it.
So hopefully the ζδΈθ¦ηΎ (kill one to send a warning to the hundreds out there) strategy works. The rest is history......
Moving forward, SMRT should really shake up the whole organization by singling out and penalizes the \"geng\" kings, \"tai-chi\" queens, \"talk-only and do-little\" mangement staff to jolt the whole organization from its deep slumber. -

He was away in Europe issit? He does not have a crystal ball telling him this will happen. The 'strike' started and ended within 3 days. Factor in time difference, flight time, etc, even if he were to fly back, by the time he is back it will be the 3rd day. Unless of course he has a private jet, plus a private airstrip at his disposal where he can takeoff and land anytime.

Think if you were in Europe, and there's an emergency, how soon do you think you can get a ticket and fly home. -

And oh.. she's also serious. Didn't even flinch when the monkey on the left went a wee berserk. I might have gone :rotflmao: there and then. Oh well, that's why I'm no scientist.
