These PRC drivers if they are working in their own country, the accomodation is far worst than current Woodland dorm.

SMRT should not listen to them. Just give them as per it is. Take it or leave it.

Been to a PRC home recently? Unless the idea is to employ PRC drivers from really ulu parts of rural China, the image in your mind of the PRC home is seriously obsolete.

šŸ˜‚ absolutely, just went to China this year, What an eye opening, I would say, the average Singaporeans are not better off than the average Chinese.

Wow, that is so good. What don't SMRT management view it?

Not useful. Management will just say that the problem started because the monkey on the right was able to see that the other monkey was getting better benefits. So the solution is simply to make it a rule for everyone not to divulge their increments... and grades.

In today world? that won't work. People are much aware of their rights and, the information is no longer so easy to be shut down. Aiyo, even monkey knows that doing the same job gets the same pay, how can blame those PRC drivers, just part of nature instinct.

So in Singapore's context, it should be to make an opaque wall in between the monkeys instead of a TRANSPARENT one šŸ˜‰ This way, the monkeys won't have full idea what is really happening, will happily live in their own world of limited information, contented, won't make noise, won't know if they are getting cucumber, grapes or peanuts ( ), won't strike... šŸ˜†

yup. if don't like, they should quit en masse, not strike. that is smarter and totally legal, and more bargaining power.
wrong. They are bound by contract.. cannot quit as they like unlike the m'sians.

For China worker, employer has to pay for their air-tickets at the end of 2 years contract (like maid). Hence, I believe, their benefit will sure different from malaysian.
