Isn't it not obeying and disobeying the same?

Is there any rule that we need to use the exact words given in the sentences?

        Thank you in advance.

Can someone help to clarify the following? Thank you.

Q1) The manager was negligent. The construction worker was seriously injured.
Can we ans in this way...with the apostrophe punctuation?
Ans: Due to the manager's neglience, the construction worker was seriously injured.

Q2) All the children are interested in attending the overseas immersion programme. John is not interested.

**Ans in worksheet: All the children are interested in attending the overseas immersion programme except John.

**DS ans: All the children except John are interested in attending the overseas immersion programme.

          Is my DS answer acceptable?

Q3) The referee blew the whistle when the striker scored a goal.

KRR[/quote]I don't think so because going over implies going someplace else, instead of coming.

No sooner had the referee blown the whistle than the striker scored a goal.

Check out this link for the usage of \"no sooner than\".
                        http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/radio/specials/1535_questionanswer/page61.shtml

Also contrast with the usage of \"Hardly...when\" and \"Scarcely...when\",
Eg Hardly had the referee blown the whistle when the striker scored a goal.

                        Hope the above helps.
