Forget the former things; do Not dwell on the past.
when January 2013 come and your son enter a new Sec school Sec 1, he's going to embark on a new journey, starting with a new clean sheet of white paper again !

Run down this new journey. Look forward, with a new zeal of energy.

You don't to be from a SAP primary school in order to go to a SAP sec school. Some SAP schools only offers HCL but others have both CL & HCL.

I am not against my first choice of school…but I really hope he gets a chance to go to st Andrew’s…but if he can’t, no problem staying put in the one we chose…now really really hope he can get in first. One step at a time.

Does St. Andrews have affiliation to the JC? The uniform for the girls in that JC very nice xD

You wouldn't believe it. I found some 2009 to 2011 stats in my Hp pics. The info was shared early this year to update parents on how the students did for psle 2011.

In 2011, the average t score was 238.9. 45.96% (including gep) got 250 and above. Quality passes for English was 89.4%, Chinese was 96.2%, maths was 81.1%, science was 82.2%.

The forbidden fruit tastes sweeter. The more you deprive them of the opposite sex, the more they fantasize. Some get sexually attracted to the same sex and do funny things in the toilets. My sis taught in 2 top girls school and she said that is normal to happen. Somehow, this happens to girls more than boys I think. Boys tend to exhibit homosexuality later when they go to Uni.

Boys and girls in non-coed schools tend to become ah kua and butch from secondary onwards. Nowadays a lot of influence from senseless Korean dramas and K-pop where it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between boys and girls just by looking at their appearances and behavior. But this is still minority compared with computer games problem because a lot of schools ask parents to buy laptops and tablets for their children's use. Parents please beware. :scared:

Does the school push the average kids by giving them extra lessons? My brother said that his son from NYPS will do better than my son who is from a neighbourhood school. Is he being practical to say that his son will get into Hwa Chong if the boy only get B for all 4 subjects?

All Bs want to go hwa Chong? Dream long long. Maybe if get in by dsa through some sport LOL. All As also can't go hwach I think, unless your As are all very high As, almost A*

The school can push but a lot depends on the child. There is no guarantee. I know 2 kids from SAP school slipping into the Normal stream this year. I also know of GEPper slipping at PSLE or in secondary school. Every child has the opportunity to write his own chapter as they progress in life.


I know a mum who regretted her DDs years in the NY family. The over-emphasis in academic excellence resulted in neglect in other aspects of their development and they are lagging behind in their working life.
