You are right, the word 自爱 has to use on both sexes.
Another chinese words ' 自zuo duo qing' which describes the women too. -

Temptations are everywhere.
My aunt once told me to accompany hubby if he is ever posted overseas…when loneliness sets in, men are more prone to temptations.
On several occasions when hubby went overseas with his colleagues for work, there were women who were flocking around them.

MP is in Singapore not overseas. If mentally receptive to EMA, can & will stray anytime anywhere as long opportunity arises

Yes, temptations can happen anywhere...need not be overseas as this recent example has proven...every Monday for this former minister. I once told hubby this MP guy is attractive. -
