I have this situation which i need advise.
My kid’s coach just informed me that the usual training venue cant be used for some reasons and she asked us to makeup on another day and another place. We will have to forfeit the lesson fees if we cant make it. Is this the normal practice? Thanks.

Go to any CC and join badminton, once a week training.

My boy dreams of becoming a national player but his current school has no badminton cca. Anyone can recommend a qualified coach at reasonable prices? Hope to play around AMK/Bishan/Thomson area. The coach must be able to train them for tournaments if possible.

It depends on the coaching expertise. You can visit the SBF website to see the grades of coaches. Some coaches charge $40/hr which includes booking fees for the court and you also have master coaches who charge $60/hr + court booking fee.

1-1 coaching is preferable to group coaching initially. Once the child has mastered the correct footwork and racket skills then can switch to group class where it is cheaper. Initially 1 hour coaching is enough for 1-1 as the child will be tired. Group coaching will usually be 1.5-2 hrs.

Pretty ex, consider a group of 6-8 for 2 hours. Anyway thanks for the update.
