      12am:
Queuing for uniform can any seniors advise on how many uniform (Culottes Skirt, PE attire) Thanks šŸ™‚ Especially the skirt; is it required?

Perhaps this is a little late but the culottes will only be worn once a week on Wednesdays (if your daughter wants to, if she doesn't want to she can wear the pinafore too), and occasionally on other special events. The most I needed out of my culottes was during orientation, where we had to wear it everyday. And usually people prefer to wear their culottes along with a school approved T-shirt when they need to return to school during holidays too.

For the PE attire you need it for all PE classes and that's about it. Perhaps you'll need more at the start of the year but along the way your daughter can choose to purchase school approved T-shirts and wear it to school during holidays/CCA.

If your daughter requires more uniform you can purchase it from school as the vendor comes over on the first Friday of every month at the canteen (if I'm not wrong) so yup šŸ™‚

Depends on how many times you are washing your daughters clothes. For me, my mum washes my uniform everyday, so 2 sets of pinafore+blouse, 2 sets of PE attire and 2 pairs of culottes and already more than enough. But i have some friends whose parents only does laundry once a week so she has 5 sets of everything :3 For culottes, most likely your daughter will be wearing culottes for the whole of orientation week (week 1 of school), so I advise you buy 2, 1 of the fitting size and 1 of the larger size, because after orientation week, she will only get to wear it 1 time a week, but if you buy only 1, it will be quite dirty if she has to wear it for one week... But if you can wash it in between, then its alright ^^

            Hello All,

My daughter is posted to RGS. I would like to see if there're any car pools from Jurong West to the school ( I presume this works only in the mornings?) that we can join. Easier to take turns than do this every school day šŸ˜„

Appreciate a PM or a reply here if you are interested.

            Thanks.

Hello everyone, I'm joining RGS next year šŸ™‚ if I'm not wrong there is a badge initation after orientation, that makes us a RGS gal, so during orientation are we supposed to wear culottes or uniform as it wasn't mentioned in the briefing? Would appreciate if any seniors or parents could help out with my question!

Based on my understanding of next year's Orientation program (which has a rather weird schedule), you wear PE + culottes during Orientation which is Wed-Friday of Week 0. The Orientation overnight camp will be Thurs-Fri of Week 1, and you'll get a packing list for that but it's basically PE + culottes, approved clothes for the night, and then PE / Orientation shirt + culottes on Friday šŸ™‚

I'm not entirely sure when the Badge Initiation ceremony is though (I didn't see it in the program yet), but there's a briefing for Badge Initiation ceremony so just look out for that šŸ™‚ And the Badge initiation is really cool - even though next year Sec 1's will be my 4th it still makes you feel really special and ... Rafflesian. Or maybe it's just the music / lighting / effects / etc haha šŸ™‚

But then again, I'm not 100% sure so just report on the first day in PE + culottes (can't go wrong) and wait for instructions for the rest of the days then šŸ™‚ Or if you don't get instructions just ask your PSLs / ClassIC šŸ™‚

The school will be issuing 2 nametags to the girls later on. Where/when can we purchase/order extra nametags?

Today's registration was well organised. And the seniors were very helpful! Thank you all! :rahrah:
