BTW,my DD actually got 240 for PSLE, but the sad thing was that she put Crescent as first choice but could not get in,although the COP for the school was 240.

BTW, if we consider to appeal for Crescent Girls', when would we know whether she is posted to the school??? Would it be before school re-open, or after school re-open??? Hope sb can answer this question.... ...

Yr DD got 240 & couldn't get in to Crescent although Crescent's COP is 240 ?

Then, it must be bcos of the decimal place.

Think you got good chance when you appeal.

Better goto the school now & appeal.

From what I knew from last year cases, the result for appeal, can varies from knowing it immediately on 23rd or till the 1st week of January.

DS3 got into VS as expected and hope he gets into a better class. :lol: Called MOE to check . VS COP is 245 (down 2 points). DHS is 258 before bonus point. Geylang Methodist is 222 for non-Affiliated and 188 for Affiliated. Their NA is 191 (up few points) for non and 153 for A.

DHS is 258 (after bonus point). I believe all COP quoted are including bonus point.

Tks. We have actually appealed for HCI last week cos' at first in a dilemma whether to put my son in IP. After her tuition teacher shared with me about the IP (her DD attending NJC sec 1 this yr). I regretted not chooing IP schools for my son. Regret..regrets.. :x I will also appeal to DHS which is also not in our choice. Guess I am the only few parents so stupid not to have selected the schs carefully. My DS agg 257+2 & we chose VS as 1st choice. It's also a good sch but now I prefers my DS to take IP. Just pray hard they will not put us as last priority for not choosing their schools. [/quote]I think 257+2 very good chance to get into NJC.

Quickly go appeal but before that strategize your plan so that you sound convincing ...

The Secondary School Posting Letter will indicate the 3rd language that your child is eligible to.

You will know immediately from the school you appeal to if the difference is 1 or 2 points although MOE said that the results will be out end Dec or early Jan. Both my students (they were cousins) got their grandfather to appeal for them to TKSS 4 years ago and managed to get in after interviews etc. Their points were quite off but did very well in the school. If you can convince the principal and your child shows that he or she is willing to work hard and do the school proud, you should have no problem. Use your sincerity and communication skills to the fullest. Good luck. :xedfingers:
