I do not really follow all these but can just udpate you some information that I know.

There are a total 4 exam, CA1, SA1 in mid year and CA2 & SA2 in end of the year.

I ever signed on some mini test papers but think is not a alot.

Remember only see less than 5 CL spelling test throughout the year.

Thank you for answering the above of my 2 postings.

I'm in a dilemma. My DD is accepted by Crescent Girls' thr' appeal which we are happy. Didn't expect to be successful as we know there are plenty, plenty of appeal cases.
But distance to the school is far from my home.
Drive abt 30 mins. Train abt 1 hr plus.
We will send DD to sch nevertheless but still worried abt rest, sufficient sleep etc...

Reason why we didn't choose Crescent initially was due to distance.
Now that appeal is thr', we have to reply school by Monday.
Can anyone pls advise me whether to accept this precious offer by the sch???
Need some advice abt this school.
Worth it to travel all the way there??? Also how's the Morning TRAFFIC near school during sch's hours???

However, heard from DD that she has classmates taking MRT from Pasir Ris, Yishun and Sembanwang etc

Yes, she got in thru S1 posting, v too r staying too far from the school, but liked its atmosphere nd curriculum.

I'm sure different ques targeted at different students.

From what I know, the school will start calling students for interview with aggregate score above it's COP 244 first and follow down the line. If it has no more vacancy, it may not call students with score close to 244. We didn't choose Crescent initially due to its far distance.

My DD also like Crescent's environment and esp TABLET PC.
We also have a good feeling abt this school- well behaved girls...
But NUMBER 1 worry is the travelling distance for DD and peak hrs near school.
Shd these good points abt the school outweigh the long distance?

Don't know how...
Headache now as have to reply school by Monday.

Stay in between AMK area, not near from the MRT.

No. There is no changes in class from Sec 1 to Sec 2. The changes will only happen when they move up to Sec 3.

There is a parents-meet-session in end of October but we did not attend. Heard from DD that some parents will be invited to attend the meeting session perhaps if the form teacher assess is required.

Yes, I would think she likes the school as I seldom hear her complaint.

As for the teacher, I ever talk to the teacher in charge of CCA and I felt that the teacher wanted my girl to learn how to handle the the matter herself.

Hi, the school uses to send us the circulars through email (Exam time table etc) or sometime a hard copy if require signature (CIP selection list or require to deduct some fund from the Edusave etc)

We are also given the password to log in to parent eportal.

Hi all, I’m wondering about the food here in the canteen of Crescent . The Price & quality.


We were at the St Nics Open Hse, tried most of their food . Yummy and very very reasonably priced. Most food were under $2. Quantity wise definitely sufficient for recess but may need to eat / buy more for a main meal.

Comparative , in Cedar, the price is higher. Only tried a dish or 2 and they cost abt $2-$3 each.

How much would my DD require for recess ?
