No. There is no changes in class from Sec 1 to Sec 2. The changes will only happen when they move up to Sec 3.
There is a parents-meet-session in end of October but we did not attend. Heard from DD that some parents will be invited to attend the meeting session perhaps if the form teacher assess is required.
Yes, I would think she likes the school as I seldom hear her complaint.
As for the teacher, I ever talk to the teacher in charge of CCA and I felt that the teacher wanted my girl to learn how to handle the the matter herself. -

I have checked sch's web site. Can't find any Circulars uploaded in web site for parents to read.
Thank you for prompt reply, Brenda. -

Hi, the school uses to send us the circulars through email (Exam time table etc) or sometime a hard copy if require signature (CIP selection list or require to deduct some fund from the Edusave etc)
We are also given the password to log in to parent eportal. -
Thank you Brenda for answer’g my questions.

Hi all, I’m wondering about the food here in the canteen of Crescent . The Price & quality.
We were at the St Nics Open Hse, tried most of their food . Yummy and very very reasonably priced. Most food were under $2. Quantity wise definitely sufficient for recess but may need to eat / buy more for a main meal.
Comparative , in Cedar, the price is higher. Only tried a dish or 2 and they cost abt $2-$3 each.
How much would my DD require for recess ?
Many thanks -

Both yr DD and u so lucky to have tried 2 different sch's canteen fd.
St Nicks has more stalls as both Pri and Sec levels are using same canteen.
So prices will be cheaper, I think.
Btw, yr DD's friend whose is appealing to Crescent, any result? -
Hi there! It has been a while since I last visited this forum; and my, was I pleasantly surprised by your interest in Crescent! As I have mentioned earlier (if you read my previous posts), I am currently a student in this school, and I hope to answer as many of your inquiries as possible.
An approximate total of 1 hour and 5 minutes is required for me to travel to and from Crescent, back to my home. This may sound unappealing, yes, but in actual fact, it is considered normal. For parents who fret about their daughters not having sufficient time to study due to this "long" travelling time and et cetera, please do not worry. It will only be a major issue if she needs to spend more than 1 hour and 30-45 minutes to travel to and fro.
Sad to say, in my honest opinion, I do not favour the canteen food much. However, as long as one is able to eat at an affordable price, why should there be a need for complaint or dissatisfaction? I understand that some parents are expressing concern on their daughters’ well-being; but this, trust me, is nothing to be worried about. There has been no history of food poisoning in Crescent Girls’ School; I hope this solid piece of information is enough to calm your nerves.
If you are not cognizant of the manner(s) in how Crescent functions, said school operates through technology. Significant announcements are sent to the emails of parents (and sometimes students), and sometimes hard copy letters will also be issued to the students, should there be a need for their parents’ signature or anything along those lines.
Depending on the student’s Mother Tongue teacher, the frequency of spellings will vary. Attributing to my own experience, my teacher tests my class on spelling at least twice a month. On top of this, there will be many tests for students to anticipate! As the months go by, the number of tests will accumulate. The marks garnered from these tests will be counted towards the student’s CA1 and CA2 grade.
I hope I managed to clear a few queries! Feel free to message me if you have a pressing question.
