My dd is using a 2nd hand Zimmermann which is more than 12 yrs old.

1-2 keys are sunken and one of the strings broke.

Will it be expensive to replace the string and repair the keys?
Any good recommendations to do the repairs?

      Thanks.

If you are thinking about changing the piano then perhaps this is the right time to look around. Repairing and replacing wouldn’t cost too much (in comparison with changing to a new piano). I can PM you the contact for a technician.

Seems okay to me for a China made Yamaha. As long the condition and the actions are still good, why not?

Yamaha U3 are never made in China. The H in front of the serial no refers to U3H. Morover China production only started in the early 2000s and lasted only a few years. U3H is made in Japan and likely 30 plus years old. Hope this helps.

thanks Haydn, colleague also mentioned that the piano is made in Japan n aro 30yrs… so U3H is the model in the 1970s??

checked with yamaha staff… he mentioned that that there was China-made yamaha piano but already stop production and was in the 1970s kinda… and it does not import to Singapore @ all… anyway e-mail to yamaha to confirm it… just for knowlege… keke…

Dreamaurora thanks too… feel "secure" of the quailty of the piano as his wife is a piano tr yah.

need a piano mover yah… please recommend… what is the price tag for moving U3? market price??

Yes U3H and also U1H are models made from mid 70s to around 1980. Market price for moving without climbing stairs about 100-140 dollars.
