COP 2012 - For Secondary Schools in 2013
-

This is a common scenario for the co-ed IP schools - DHS & RVHS are all ~65% girls, NJC is >80% girls. So, not surprised that TJC is having 70% girls. Overall, from past year's statistics, girls perform better in PSLE, and in fact, they drive up the COP of these co-ed IP schools.[/quote]Agreed. Girls usually do better than boys in PSLE. Boys usually catch up in O level or A level.
My ds didn't make it to his dream school which is a boy school. He was posted to a school which I heard has more girls than boys. However, I didn't even dare to tell him but would like him to experience it himself. Perhaps it's not that bad as more chances will be even to boys instead. And the boys will then have a stronger bonding. Hope it will turn out well.its888me:

My ds is now appealing to Victoria... U must be wondering why? Becos he say TJC the year 1 too many girls. It is like 70% girls and coming from a boys school, he is not comfortable with that. -

Ya true there is a lot of girls but I am fine with it because I hang around better with girls actually and I am a boy.But I understand cause if he come from a boys school he would prefer to be in a boys school. But,Victoria was the second choice of your ds or? -

Something for the experts here to ponder:
Assuming 3 students have the same 1st choice for SAP school Dunman high. All 3 meet Dhs cop requirement of 256. However, with the following scores:
A gets 255+1, B gets 254+2, C gets 253+3.
Base on merit of T-score, which I think exclude bonus points, A should be given the priority, followed by B and then C. Without even looking into the decimal marks, A should be selected ahead of B, followed by C. Am I right?
If the above scenario is truth, let us go to scenario 2. Assuming their 1st choices are Dhs.
D gets 255+1, E gets 254+3.
Again, based solely on T-score, D is standing ahead of E. Assuming D gets the last seat in Dhs when his turn comes. However, when it is E’s turn to choose. E has a higher score of 257 then D’s 256, after adding bonus points. The system will drop D in favour of E?
Experts, please enlighten.

E will get, because allocation priority goes in order of highest to lowest points. Order of choice does not matter. In this case, sap schools includes the HCL bonus pointsSomething for the experts here to ponder:

The system would most slightly choose E first before D because once they chose a SAP school the marks will automatically be added and that would be their T score instead of the previous marks before adding the bonus point I think.
